New Project to Help Ohio Cities Fast-track Missing Middle Housing
- Smart Growth America and their project partners, the Housing Multiplier Project and the Greater Ohio Policy Center, are launching a new statewide initiative to create pre-approved design plans to accelerate the development of missing-middle housing across Ohio.
- The group is soliciting proposals from qualified architects to prepare architectural plans for four (4) residential “missing middle” housing types (two-family, three-plex, four-plex, and six-plex)
- The project aims to provide more housing choice in Ohio, especially in high-demand infill locations.

NAR Backs Nomination of Matt Jones for FHA Commissioner
- On September 15, President Trump nominated Matt Jones, HUD's Deputy Assistant Secretary for Single Family Housing, to serve as Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Commissioner and HUD Assistant Secretary for Housing.
- The nomination requires Senate confirmation. NAR will engage with the Senate Banking Committee as the process moves forward.
