The Columbus REALTORS® Young Professionals Network (YPN) hosted a Fall Food Drive through the entire month of November, collecting both monetary and non-perishable donations to benefit the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. With the incorporation of dynamic programming and inclusive networking, one of YPN’s main focus points is philanthropy.
In late October, with the November 1st lapse in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits and the holiday season swiftly approaching, the Columbus REALTORS® YPN recognized the imminent need for food in central Ohio. YPN’s 2025 Co-Chairs Morgan Whalen and Emilie Hausch, and Co-Vice Chairs Nathan Blaydes and Justin Phillips made it their mission to collect as many non-perishable food items as possible, asking the Columbus REALTORS® membership for their support.
And support, they gave.
On Monday, December 1, Columbus REALTORS® YPN delivered 280lbs of food to the Mid-Ohio Food Collective! On top of that, the committee was able to directly donate a monetary value of $160, equaling 400 meals in monetary donations alone!
The Mid-Ohio Food Collective is the largest food bank in Ohio, working with more than 600 local charities and programs, casting their community reach as far as 20 counties. For every $1 donated, the Mid-Ohio Food Collective can provide enough food for 2.5 meals to those facing food insecurity.
The Columbus REALTORS® Young Professionals Network would like to thank the other committees who participated and every member who took the time to make a donation to the Fall Food Drive.
