Register for REALTOR® Care Day
REALTOR® Care Day 2023 will take place on Wednesday, June 7, and this year's "main project" will be at the Linden Community Center and surrounding areas located at 1254 Briarwood Ave., Columbus, OH 43211. In addition to improving the properties of several homeowners, the organization is excited to work with local civic groups to expand vital community green and public spaces in the neighborhood. REALTOR® Care Day is an annual day of service to the communities in which REALTORS® live, work, and raise families. It started with one community service project in 2005 and has grown to 30 projects this year.
Although REALTORS® donate time and talent to their communities throughout the year, this one-day event focuses the energy of hundreds of volunteers in areas all over central Ohio. Since its inception in 2005, REALTOR® Care Day projects have provided over $600,000 in improvements and repairs and hundreds of hours of service to local communities around central Ohio.
In addition to the main project, over 20 local area realty and industry trade associations are tackling projects all over central Ohio.
Bexley – The Bexley, Eastmoor, & Berwick Association will be completing beautification at Jeffrey Park. Working with the Bexley Bloomers, a local nonprofit supporting the park. – 165 N. Parkview Ave., Bexley, OH 43209
Sunbury – Big Walnut Area Realty Association will be building blanket kits at Vineyard Church 1001 W. Cherry St., Sunbury, OH 43074
Canal Winchester/Reynoldsburg - Columbus Commercial Industrial & Investment Realtors (CCIIR) will be teaming with Homeport to clean up two daycare/early learning facilities managed by Homeport. Work will include painting, landscaping, and general repairs. Locations are at Georges Creek Apartments 6300 Georges Creek Drive, Canal Winchester, OH 43110, and Pheasant Run Apartments at 2680 Orono Pike, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.
Columbus – The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) is leading the Clean Up Columbus project starting at 9 a.m. at 480 E. Town St., Columbus, OH 43215
Columbus – The Midtown Area Real Estate Association (MAREA) will be planning plants and conducting multiple painting projects at Rickenbacker Woods Foundation & Learning Center located at 1330 E Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH 43205
Columbus – The North Area Real Estate Association will complete beautification projects on two homes at 3007 Calumet St., Columbus, OH 43202 and 2767 Kensington Pl W, Columbus, OH 43202.
Columbus – The Northwest Area Realty Association will complete a beautification project at 2095 Sheringham Rd., Columbus, OH 43220.
Columbus – The Women’s Council of Realtors will be volunteering at 1259 Briarwood Ave., Columbus, OH 43211, as a part of the “main project” in Linden.
Delaware– The Delaware County Board of Realtors will landscape, paint, and wash windows in addition to other general repairs at the homes located at 5129 Crabapple Ct., Lewis Center, OH 43035 and 143 W. Central Ave., Delaware, OH 43015
Dublin – The Greater Dublin Realty Association will be sorting items at the Welcome Warehouse at 6305 Brand Rd., Dublin, OH 43017 and transporting items to the free shop operated by “One Dublin”.
Grove City – The Grove City Area Realty Association will support the Life Care Alliance/Meals on Wheels, & Columbus Cancer Clinic with hot meals, grocery, and frozen meal delivery. Life Care Alliance is located at 670 Harmon Ave., Columbus, OH 43223
Hilliard – The Hilliard Area Realty Association assists at a summer day camp for kids at 4300 Avery Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026.
Lewis Center – The Lewis Center Realty Association is installing a “Little Free Library” at Dooley’s Orchard located at Dooley’s Orchard Apartments at 990 Plumway Ln., Lewis Center, OH 43035
Marion – The Marion County Realtors Association is donating food to the local food bank and working a soup kitchen at the Marion First Church of the Nazarene located at 233 W. Church St. Marion, OH 43302.
Marysville – The Marysville Area Realty Association will conduct multiple projects in the area at the Union County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Impact Station homeless shelter, and Neighbor2Neighbor, a local organization that helps senior residents age-in-place. The primary location will take place at 808 W. 5th St., Marysville, OH 43040.
Pickaway County – Landscaping at Ted Lewis Park located at 443 N. Court St., Circleville, OH 43113 will begin at 9 a.m.
Powell – The Powell Area Realty Association will volunteer at Stockhands Horses for Healing, a nonprofit that uses equine therapy to support veterans and individuals with developmental disabilities. Volunteers will create an outdoor respite area with picnic tables and new landscaping. This is located at 3788 Olentangy River Rd., Delaware, OH 43015.
Reynoldsburg – The Tri-County Area Realty Association will volunteer at the VFW Post 9472 at 1420 Waggoner Rd., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. They will stain and paint a shelter house, upgrade the parking area, and mulch/clean up.
West Jefferson – The Madison County Area Realty Association will provide maintenance, cleaning, and donations at the Madison County Humane Society, at 2020 OH-142 NE, West Jefferson, OH 43162.
