COLUMBUS, Ohio (June 4, 2024)— For the 20th consecutive year, Columbus REALTORS® members will gather around the city for its largest annual day of service, REALTOR® Care Day.

Over 20 special projects, sponsored by Columbus Area Real Estate Associations will be taking place in surrounding central Ohio communities. Columbus REALTORS sponsors one, “Main Project” each year.

This year, the Brian Muha Foundation Run the Race Center located at 880 S. Wayne Ave., Columbus, OH 43204 will serve as the main project. The Brian Muha Foundation/The Run the Race Club has been active since 2000, providing exceptional enrichment and leadership development opportunities to young people in Columbus, Cleveland, and Steubenville, Ohio. The Day School opened in 2020 and the Run the Race Center is a 22,000 square foot building that welcomes inner city children looking to come to a safe, cheerful and loving place that is open after school and on the weekends. The Run the Race Center offers tutoring, sports, music, art, games, a library, gym, a full meal every day and a food pantry.

“REALTOR Care Day is probably my favorite event that Columbus REALTORS® organizes each year,” said Columbus REALTORS President Scott Hrabcak. “To see so many of our members giving time for so many great causes are inspiring and speaks to their dedication to their communities.”

“We’re especially excited to partner with the Brian Muha Foundation as our main project in 2024,” continued Hrabcak. “They provide an incredible resource for children in The Hilltop and we can’t wait to chip in and give their organization some assistance.”

“If you are a REALTOR who hasn’t volunteered in the past or is looking to give back, I would highly encourage you to come out on June 12. We will be there from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. You can choose a morning or afternoon shift, or both. We hope to see you there.”

Columbus REALTORS® members can register for the main project or reach out to their local area real estate association to volunteer at their respective project. At the Brian Muha Foundation Run the Race center, volunteers will be painting the interior hallway of the day school, laying mulch and landscaping in the outdoor play area, and building beds for 50 children who have been identified as in need of a bed. Opportunities to sponsor a bed for a child in need was offered to Columbus REALTORS members in May and we are proud to announce the 50 beds sold out in two weeks.

REALTOR® Care Day t-shirts will be available to purchase at the main project. They can also be pre-ordered.
