MLS Software Operations Report -- May 8, 2019
1) Flexmls Web: Quick Search blank space at top removed – April 18
a) The redesigned layout of the search screen created a blank, unused gray bar at the
top of the search screen.
b) This blank gray area will be removed to allow additional space for map search and
criteria fields.
2) Flexmls Web: Quick Search search criteria details – April 18
a) The ability to quickly see the currently selected criteria using the “i bubble” at the
top left was removed with a recent Flexmls update.
b) This Search Detail functionality has been restored, but in new location.
c) You will now access the Search Detail pop-up by clicking the 3-dot icon at top
right then Search Detail in the drop-down menu.
3) CIE Export field now required on Land/Farm listings – April 24
a) Previously, the CIE Export Y/N field was a required field on Commercial, Office,
Industrial and Business Opportunity only.
b) The CIE Export Y/N field has been added to Land property type.
c) The field determines whether the listing will be made available to Catylist.
d) The field appears on the Edit Listing screen below the Printing Services field on the
“Details” tab.
e) The CIE Export field does not display on listing reports.
f) Existing listings will be auto-popped with “NO” in this field.
MLS Software Operations Report -- June 12, 2019
1) Flexmls Web: Quick Search merged with Map Search – May 30
a) Quick Search now displays the criteria fields and map simultaneously.
b) The old “Map Search” button and menu item have been removed since the map
search is now part of Quick Search.
c) If less than 1000 listings match a given search, they will be mapped immediately.
Otherwise, a box will appear with a “View on Map” button.
d) Agents can bypass the View on Map button by clicking on the gray area around the
box to be able to create a polygon without adding criteria. Or they can click the
List button at view the listings results.
2) Listing Data Checker – CheckIt update – April 29
a) Automation in Listing Data Checker brought to light several issues with current
policy that will be addressed by the full MLS Committee.
b) Release of CheckIt, the pre-check portion of Listing Data Checker, has been
delayed until at least mid-July due to bugs created by the last update.
3) Flex Mobile: Map View now zooms to location of matched properties – May 14
a) The map view will now adapt to the user’s search
b) Map will zoom to the location of the matched listings
4) Flexmls Web: Enhanced options for reports sent to other agents – June 6
a) When the agent receives and clicks the emailed link, they will still see the listing
report, but in the context of an interactive search results page.
b) They can interact with the listing like they would any other search results.
c) They’ll have more options, such as viewing all photos and documents that are
attached to the listing.
5) Flex Mobile: Streamlined messaging between client and agent – June 6
a) Flexmls mobile and Flexmls Pro for Android will now have messaging functions
similar to the new Portal messaging.
6) Flexmls Web: Listing Collections screen updated to match new look/feel – June 6
a) The Listings Collections screen will now have the same look and feel as Hotsheets.
b) A search box has been added to the top of the Collections page.
7) Realist: Franklin County 2018 tax data updated – May 30
a) Annual tax roll update for Franklin county has been installed in Realist.
b) Auto-population for Franklin county will now show 2018 data instead of 2017
c) Agents should manually update their listings entered prior to May 30, 2019 for Tax
and Tax Year. They will have populated the 2017 data from Realist.
d) Some outlying counties in Realist are still displaying 2017 tax roll data.
8) Realtor.com added to Broker Distribution preferences page – May 28
a) Brokers now have more direct control over the Realtor.com feed from MLS
b) The same options are available as the Zillow feed that was previously added.
c) The default state is to send listings to Realtor.com (no change from previous
setting)
d) Brokers should review their Realtor.com settings by going to Menu > Preferences >
Broker Distribution
e) The default setting for “agent can override” is off. Brokers can enable this on the
same page if needed.
9) Homesnap display of full property type label in app – June 4
a) Previously, only a letter (eg. “A”) appeared for property type field.
b) The full property type (eg. “Residential”) label now appears for all property types.
c) Added ability to search for Lot Size (acres) and SqFt Documented on the filter
menu.
MLS Board of Directors Report -- 5/20/19 Replaced language for #4 of the Exclusive Right to Sell Listing agreement. Clarified language for the ‘Cancelled’ status. Added ‘Consent for Access’ language to the Listing Agreement. Clarified that for Business Opportunity listings to be in the MLS, they must be tied to real property whether for sale or for lease. Current business opportunity listings in the MLS can stay in the MLS until they expire but the listings cannot be extended.
