Columbus REALTORS® is pleased to announce that Craig Hicks joined the Association as Director of Communication, effective October 3, 2022.

As the Director of Communication, Hicks is charged with promoting the value of Columbus REALTORS® and its members to the public. Hicks will lead a communications staff that manages all internal and external messaging from the Association.

“After an extensive nationwide search, we are thrilled to add Craig to our team,” said Chief Executive Officer, Brent Swander. “His experience building a communications department, working with internal and external stakeholders, and ability to innovate and communicate at a high level will continue to shape our efforts at Columbus REALTORS®. As the area expands, Craig will work with our leadership, members, consumers, and media to ensure Columbus REALTORS® is the voice of real estate in Central Ohio.”

“We would also like to thank Paramount Consulting Group, based in Westerville, Ohio, for assisting in the search for our next Director of Communication,” added Swander.

Hicks brings over 20 years of experience in communications to the position. He comes to Columbus REALTORS® after 19 years as the Director of Athletics Communications at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. While at Denison, he received multiple awards for his promotion of Denison student-athletes. He was highly involved in his professional organization, The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), where he served as the Vice Chair of the Academic All-America® program. On campus, Hicks founded the Denison Sports Network, a student-produced live video streaming network that broadcasted over 200 athletic events per year.

In addition to his time at Denison, Hicks also spent two years as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Ashland University and was an athletic department intern at the University of Notre Dame from 1999-2000.

A native of Sugarcreek, Ohio, and a graduate of Ashland University, Hicks resides in Pataskala, Ohio, with his wife, Amy, and their two rescue dogs, Zeus and Josie.
