AFGHAN NEIGHBORS RENTAL ASSISTANCE FUND
As community advocates, dedicated to fostering diversity and opportunity in central Ohio housing, Columbus REALTORS® is proud to partner with the City of Columbus, Columbus Apartment Association (CAA), US Together, and Community Refugee & Immigration Services (CRIS) to secure housing for 520 families.
Spearheaded by Councilmember and REALTOR®, Emmanuel Remy, The City of Columbus has committed to providing rental assistance for twelve month leases through the Afghan Rental Assistance Fund, while families find permanent placement and full time employment within our community.
While it is anticipated that all lessees will be able to meet their rent obligations, CRIS and The City seek to provide assurance to local landlords and property owners willing to lease to the families.
Additionally, CAA has agreed for those landlords willing to participate, any application fees will be waived and the US background process accepted, in lieu of a typical background check.
*Important! CRIS is in immediate need of a 4 bedroom ranch-style or wheelchair accessible home for a very deserving family whose son has special needs. Please contact Ida Seitter asap if you are willing to help!*

Resettlement agencies are seeking the following Homes:
1 bedroom 2 bedroom 3 bedroom Single family homes (critical need) 3 children under 10 YO to be permitted in one bedroom Leases that won’t require co-signers All Central Ohio areas will be appreciated; however, the following areas would be ideal: Northwest Columbus (i.e. 43235 or near) Far West (i.e. 43228 or near)
