A pair of central Ohio REALTORS® was honored by the National Association of REALTORS® this month. Jan Jedlinsky was presented the 2022 EverGreen Award, while Bob Long received the 2022 National Commercial Ward. Both were presented at this year’s National Association of Realtors® NXT convention in Orlando, Florida.

Jedlinsky was one of four REALTORS® from around the nation to receive the award issued by the Green Resource Council, whose mission is to advance the principles of the council and make today’s housing inventory better, greener, and healthier.

She was nominated for this award based on her commitment to the green industry and her work within the community. She was selected for the award by an independent panel of green industry professionals.

Jedlinsky of Metro II Realty has been a proven green real estate community leader. She is the chair of the Columbus REALTORS® Sustainability Forum, which she created. She also participated in an Ohio REALTORS Presidential Advisory Group that examined how to bring sustainability/green conversation to the organization. In 2023, Jedlinsky will serve as the chair of the newly formed Ohio REALTORS sustainability advisory group. She has also served on the national sustainability advisory board since 2019.

Jedlinsky walks the walk and talks the talk, living part-time in an off-the-grid vacation home in Wyoming. She has also made her homes more energy efficient while demonstrating that she is a source of knowledge regarding sustainability issues in today’s real estate market.

Long’s National Commercial Award is presented annually to REALTORS® who received an award or recognition for their exceptional service and contributions to their local or state REALTOR® association, one of NAR’s affiliated institutes, societies, or councils, the commercial real estate industry, or their community.

The President of Vision 1 Real Estate Advisors, Long boasts an extensive and successful history in real estate development, built-to-suite, and leasing commercial property sales. A 38-year veteran of the industry, Long has a portfolio totaling over $250 million in mid-rise, residential, medical, and office projects.

Before joining Vision 1, Long founded and was President of Long & Wilcox, where he was named Developer of the Year in 2005 by the Central Ohio Building Industry Association (BIA). He was also a partner in Harmony Development Group and spent 12 years with the Daimler Group.

Long has also served as a past President of the Columbus Commercial Investment REALTORS®, where he is currently a member. He is also a member and past President of the Upper Arlington Rotary.

In May, Long was presented with the Erika Blumenstein Memorial Award at the Columbus REALTORS® COCIE Awards Celebration.
