Columbus REALTORS® CEO Brent Swander featured as a panelist at Ohio State
Brent Swander, CEO of Columbus REALTORS®, was a featured panelist at Obie’s Breakfast Club on Thursday, October 20. The event took place at Ohio Stadium on The Ohio State University campus. Former Buckeye and real estate broker Obie Stillwell hosted the recurring event.
Joining Stillwell and Swander on the panel was Tim Johnson, President of Revolution Mortgage, and former Ohio State standouts Bob Hoying and Maurice Clarett.
Swander spoke about his past in the Bush White House and his time on the campaign trails with John McCain and Paul Ryan, but his most significant points echoed the prevailing theme of the day…networking.
“I pride myself on connecting people,” said Swander. “Everything is built on relationships. Never miss the opportunity to introduce yourself. If you say you’re going to go have coffee, go have coffee.”
Questions about Intel’s arrival in central Ohio were also a topic of discussion and having toured an Intel facility in New Mexico in the mid-2000s, Swander offered his thoughts.
“However big you think Intel will be, think much, much larger. I don’t think you can truly grasp what is about to come to central Ohio. Those feelings of anti-development must change.”
Obie’s Breakfast Club is a regular networking event that brings together a collection of influential, innovative, and talented leaders who desire to network with a vision for personal and professional growth.
