Columbus REALTORS® is proud to announce that the Powell Area Realty Association (PARA), Greater Dublin Realty Association, and the Delaware County Board of REALTORS® are the 2023 REALTOR® Care Day Weiler Grant winners.
The REALTOR® Care Day Weiler Grant was established in 2014 to recognize Area Realty & Trade Association projects that exemplify the founding principles of the event, which is to provide community service to those in need. The grant was named for Skip Weiler, founder of REALTOR® Care Day. Each of this year’s three recipients will receive an additional $500 in funding that can be used toward next year’s project.
The Powell Area Realty Association volunteered at Stockhands Horses for Healing, a nonprofit that uses equine therapy to support veterans and individuals with developmental disabilities.
“The Powell Area Realty Association (PARA) is thrilled to be recognized with the 2023 Weiler Grant,” said PARA President Amy Nitzschke. “PARA was honored to spend the day creating a respite picnic area. We’re proud to give back to our communities and appreciate the support and recognition from Columbus REALTORS®.”
The Greater Dublin Realty Association sorted items at One Dublin’s Clothing Free Shop, which provides like-new clothing and essentials for families in the surrounding Dublin area.
“One Dublin does so much for those in need in the community,” said Greater Dublin Realty Association President Terra Miller. “Their free store allows families to shop for household items and clothing. They were in the process of trying to move their free store and combine it with their warehouse space. It was a very big job, and we were happy to help them with that transition process.”
The Delaware County Board of REALTORS landscaped, painted, and washed windows and completed other general repairs at two different homes of local residents.
