Agreement expands MLS search access for subscribers in central and northwest Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio (May 4, 2026) - Columbus REALTORS® and Northwest Ohio REALTORS® announced a new data partnership between the Columbus & Central Ohio Regional MLS and the Northwest Ohio Regional Information System (NORIS), expanding MLS search capabilities for subscribers in both markets.

This will provide MLS subscribers with broader access to property data and a broader regional view of the market, helping them better serve buyers and sellers whose real estate needs increasingly cross market boundaries.

“This partnership reflects the direction our industry is moving,” said Columbus REALTORS® CEO Brent Swander. “Accurate, accessible data is one of the most valuable tools our members have. Expanding that access helps them better serve consumers and gives them a broader view of the markets shaping real estate across the region.”

“Our collaboration enhances the tools and resources available to our members,” said Northwest Ohio REALTORS CEO Megan Foos. “Expanded access to regional data improves efficiency, strengthens market insight, and better supports buyers and sellers across the regional market.”

The new data-sharing agreement will be available on the Flexmls platform for both desktop and mobile devices beginning on May 4, 2026, allowing users to switch between data sources directly within the system.

This is the second data partnership formed by Columbus REALTORS®. In June 2024, the Columbus & Central Ohio Regional MLS entered into a data-sharing agreement with Bluegrass REALTORS® in Lexington, Kentucky. As with other MLS data partnerships, this agreement is designed solely to improve search access. It does not allow subscribers of either MLS to list properties in the other organization’s marketplace.

Subscribers will be able to access the NORIS data source within Flexmls by selecting “Data Source” above the property type field. Users are encouraged to search one data source at a time for the most complete results. When searching multiple data sources at once, only shared fields across both databases will be available.

Columbus & Central Ohio Regional MLS subscribers will continue to default to their home data source when logging in, consistent with the workflow described in the earlier partnership release.
