Columbus, Ohio (June 10, 2024)—Columbus REALTORS® understands how important accurate, dynamic data is to our members.
The more data, the better, and Columbus REALTORS® is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Bluegrass REALTORS® out of Lexington, Kentucky. This exciting collaboration will provide MLS subscribers from both associations with a wealth of increased data and scope, enhancing your ability to serve your customers.
This data partnership will seamlessly integrate within the desktop and mobile version of the FlexMLS platform. To switch between the Columbus & Central Ohio Regional MLS and the Lexington (Bluegrass) MLS, users can simply select “Data Source” which appears just above “property type”. Please note, this does not mean that CCORMLS subscribers can list properties in Lexington, or vice versa. This is for searching capabilities, only.
“This is an important partnership for Columbus REALTORS® and the Columbus & Central Ohio Regional MLS,” said CEO Brent Swander. “Our industry is changing rapidly, and the data that our MLSs collect are powerful tools that link our members with the consumer.”
“I look at this as a significant first step toward a greater goal of partnerships and co-ops throughout the region and the country. We want to thank Katrina Bowers, the Interim CEO at Bluegrass REALTORS®, for her cooperation in this venture along with our friends at FBS (Flex),” said Swander. “We will continue communicating with our membership should any additional partnerships occur.”
Bluegrass REALTORS® Interim CEO, Bowers, echoed Swander's thoughts on the partnership.
“Real estate is no longer just a local experience. For many people, they are looking to relocate, or possibly purchase a second home, vacation home or investment property in other parts of the region. Columbus and Bluegrass working together on a real estate data partnership opens up that possibility and makes it easier for our Realtor members to search available properties in real-time on one platform for their clients.”
Below are some additional best practices when searching between the two data sources.
It is recommended to search one data source at a time. Should you choose to search both data sources simultaneously, you can do this by holding Ctrl+Windows (PC) or Cmd+Apple (Mac) while selecting the second source. Only the common/like fields across databases will be searchable if you search multiple data sources. If you are a Columbus & Central Ohio Regional MLS subscriber that data source will remain your default data source. Meaning, if you are searching in the Bluegrass data source and logout, the next time you log in to Flex, you will be defaulted back to the Columbus & Central Ohio Regional MLS.
If you have questions about the data partnership, please email[email protected], and a member of our MLS support team will contact you.
