COLUMBUS (Dec. 7, 2023) – Bruce Daniels was selected as the recipient of the Columbus REALTORS® Rupert “Twink” Starr Citizen of the Year on Dec. 2 at the 2023 Columbus REALTORS® Awards Gala held at the downtown Hyatt Regency.
Each year, Columbus REALTORS® recognizes one citizen for their exemplary business experience, conduct, civic activity, and industry involvement.
Daniels is the owner of Honda Marysville and the Performance Columbus Family of Dealerships. His community involvement not only in Marysville but throughout central Ohio is renowned. His nonprofit organization, IMPACT60 (i60), is based on the concept that devoting 60 minutes a week to volunteerism can transform a community.
Other groups that Daniels supports include Gladden Community House; Impact Station (founding member; emergency assistance and services to end homelessness); Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation; Vista Village (supportive housing for formerly homeless individuals, which is also supported by the Columbus REALTORS Foundation); Avalon Theatre, Pink Ribbon Girls (direct services for breast and gynecological cancer patients); YMCA of Central Ohio, and Pelotonia to name a few.
Columbus REALTORS leadership, which included President Patti Brown-Wright, President-Elect Scott Hrabcak, CEO Brent Swander, and Government Affairs Director Vincent Coleman, traveled to Marysville in November to give Daniels the good news of his award. Of his nonprofit organization IMPACT60, Daniels reflected on its goals from the onset.
“We wanted to be the oxygen and lungs and supply the volunteer force that can help all of these organizations meet their goals,” said Daniels.
Daniels is the 49th recipient of the Rupert “Twink” Starr Citizen of the Year.
