Columbus REALTORS® recently honored Columbus resident and businesswoman Carol Ludtke Prigan with its 2021 Joseph L. MacKinnon Instructor of the Year Award for her commitment to professionalism and advanced education.

As only one award is made annually in this category, this esteemed honor is recognized as a sign of excellence throughout the real estate industry.

Carol currently teaches Columbus REALTORS® ethics classes which satisfy the State of Ohio and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) ethics requirements.

She is a Certified Realtors® Property Resource Trainer, holds NAR’s At Home with Diversity (AHWD) designation, and is a Columbus REALTORS® Certified Affordable Housing REALTOR® (CAHR).

A member since 1998, Carol has served on and chaired many Columbus REALTORS® committees and is a recipient of the Association’s Five Million Dollar Sales Award, and Spotlight on Community Service Award.

Carol says, “To be recognized as the Columbus REALTORS® Instructor of the Year is a great honor. I love sharing my experience and knowledge with fellow agents. My greatest reward is helping them better understand their roles as licensees and REALTORS.”

Prior to real estate, Carol earned a Ph.D. and spent several years teaching at the college and university level. She joined the corporate training department at HER, Realtors® after selling full time and spent nine years there before leaving to form Elite Partners Training and Coaching, an independent real estate training and education company, with business partner, Susan Wigler,

Having joined Corcoran Global Living in late October, Carol recently accepted the position of Vice President of Operations for the brokerage. She works with leadership, staff, and agents to provide internal communications, technology integration, staff training, and other duties.

Carol holds a Doctor of Philosophy, German Language and Literature from The Ohio State University; a Master of Arts in Foreign Language and Literature from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee; and a Bachelor of Arts in German from Kalamazoo College.

Carol and her husband, Scott, reside in Forest Park East in the Northland area.
