Columbus REALTORS® has named Andy Mills, a central Ohio resident and businessman, their 2021 REALTOR® Broker of the Year award for his work and commitment to the real estate profession and the community.
As only one award is made annually in this category, this esteemed honor is recognized as a sign of excellence throughout the real estate industry.
Mills is the broker of Elford Realty, a full-service commercial real estate firm, and has 16 years of commercial real estate sales experience. He is the Immediate Past President of Columbus REALTORS® and holds both the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® (SIOR) designations, two of the most prestigious commercial designations.
Mills holds a B.A. in Psychology from Kenyon College, and has been recognized in the Business Journals 2019 Top 100 National Influencers in Commercial Real Estate, and as a recipient of Columbus Business First 40 under 40 Award, Columbus Realtors® 10 under 40 Award, and Columbus REALTORS® Most Unique Commercial Transaction, Top 10 Commercial Producer, Largest Retail Sales Transaction, and Rookie of the Year awards.
Mill’s community and civic activities include work with Nationwide Children’s Hospital Ambassador’s Council and Development Board, Tri-Village Rotary, the 2nd Grade Reading Tutoring program at Wiggin Street Elementary School (Grandview, OH); and the Ohio CCIM Chapter.
He has also served an Adjunct Professor at The Ohio State University Fisher School of Business, past resident/board member of Kenyon College Alumni Council, Ambassador/former board member at the Center for Balanced Living; 7th Grade Head Football Coach/Scout at Hastings Middle School; and as a member of the Upper Arlington Community Improvement Corporation (CIC).
Mills says, “I believe, as real estate practitioners, it is vitally important that we give back to our community and industry for both to thrive. Over the course of my real estate career, what I am most proud of, are the opportunities I have had to help make our community and the industry a little bit better. And for that, I am very honored to receive this award.”
Due to COVID restrictions and the cancellation of this year’s awards luncheon, Mills will be formally recognized at our annual Awards Gala in December.
