The Columbus REALTORS® Leadership Academy aligns with the association's commitment to strengthening central Ohio’s real estate community by building highly skilled leaders within the industry and community. The Academy curriculum consists of nine sessions, seven of which are intensely focused full-day programs designed to help students develop their expertise in business, public speaking, leadership, government, outreach and, of course, the real estate industry. More information on the Leadership Academy.

Carol Brindley, eXp Realty, LLC

Broker Associate and mentor/sponsor for new agents, Carol serves on the Builder/REALTOR® Alliance Committee, is the President-Elect for the Powell Area Realty Association, and a member of the Dublin and Marysville Area Realty Associations. She supports the Community by serving meals, cleaning, planting, painting and sharing her time at the local shelter. With a passion for the stage, Carol enjoys acting, doing voice-overs, and stand-up comedy and is a member of the Harmony Project choir, as well as tennis, yoga, travel, cooking and hiking. After earning a Psychology degree from The Ohio State University, she went on to study Business/HR/Accounting at Columbus State. Licensed since 2006, Carol has earned the SRS and SBR designations as well as the Million Dollar Sales award and, most recently, her broker’s license.

Amy Davis ireton, KW Classic Properties, Realty 

After graduating from Ohio University with a degree in Communication, Amy spent years in corporate event planning and internal communication, prior to getting her real estate license in 2016. She was awarded the YPN Scholarship, President’s Merit award, named a YPN Top Professional of the Year in 2021. As giving back is important to Amy, she has been involved with Kitchen Kapers, Butterfly Guild of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Pelotonia, Meals on Wheels, Special Olympics, Magic Makers, LifeTown Columbus, KW Red Day, REALTOR® Care Day and the Northwest Area Realty Association to name a few. Amy also enjoys traveling, playing tennis and adventures with her husband Andy and 2-year-old son Charlie. She is always on the go whether it’s checking out a new house with clients or discovering new places around town with friends and family.

Shannon Grimm, Her, REALTORS®

Starting her real estate career in 1996, Shannon earned her Real Estate degree from Columbus State University and obtained her broker’s license in 2016. During her career, she has been named Sales Manager of the Year twice and achieved multiple BIA advertising and sales awards as well as the President's Prestige Award ($25 million) in 2020. She has also earned the CSP (Certified New Home Sales Professional), RMS (Re-Marketing Specialist), CRB (Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager), CRETS (Certified Real Estate Team Leader), PPS (Professional Property Stager), e-Pro and CREM (Certified Real Estate Mentor) designations/certifications and is a CTA (Certified Tourism Ambassador). Shannon serves on the Columbus REALTORS® Builder/REALTOR® Alliance, Government Affairs and Standard Forms Committees, and MLS Task Force. She is also a member of the Building Industry Association of Central Ohio (BIA) as well as the Southern Delaware County and Greater Dublin Realty Associations. Shannon is also a member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and a sponsor for Dublin Pet Fair and Columbus Buddy Walk – Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio.

Darlene Kuzmic, Era Real Solutions Realty

Chris Harrington is a Broker Associate, Partner Agent, Training Consultant and Community Office Owner with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services in Columbus, Ohio. During her 30+ years in Real Estate, she has worked not only as a sales agent, but as a multi-site manager in property management, and a sales training consultant through her own training company and for HER, REALTORS® /Howard Hanna. She has used her diverse background and experiences in the industry to train, coach, and mentor agents all while creating and running a successful real estate business. 

Chris was the 2021 Chair of the Columbus REALTORS® Education Committee. She has also been a member of the CORPAC Fundraising Committee, Member Services Committee, and Affordable Housing Committee. She has been involved with the USO Toy Drive since 2014, has served on the local Board of Directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA). As an advocate for animal welfare, Chris is a supporter of the Humane Society, Animal Welfare Association and Colony Cats (and Dogs). Chris has earned the professional designations of Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), Certified New Home Sale Professional (CSP), REALTOR® Commitment to Excellence (C2EX), Certified Real Estate Mentor (CREM) and At Home with Diversity (AHWD) which she is also certified to train. She attended THE Ohio State University and is a graduate of the NINJA Selling Installation Program and the Floyd Wickman Program. Chris has attended the Floyd Wickman Platform Speakers Academy and won Top Speaker. She even received a perfect score from one of the judges on the final presentation!

In her spare time, Chris and her husband, Bill, are avid golfers and members of Hickory Hills Golf Club. Chris also plays throughout the summer in local tournaments with the Columbus District Golf Association (CDGA).

Kim Mills, Cutler Real Estate

Born in Denver and raised in Dallas, Kim has lived in Ohio for nearly two decades. Prior to getting her real estate license in 2010, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Management and Communications from the University of Michigan where she was on their swim team and captain her senior year as well as being awarded their Big Ten Medial of Honor for academics, athletics, and service. With such a love for swimming, Kim was a volunteer coach at Scioto Country Club and is currently the women’s assistant coach at Upper Arlington High School. As 2017 chair of the St. Agatha School auction, they were the first group to ever raise over $100,000 in one night. In her current position as a REALTOR® with Cutler, Kim is responsible for creating content, working with clients and other agents, and mentoring others. When not working, she enjoys tennis, Pilates, recording podcasts, cooking and caddying for her son in his youth golf tournaments.

Denise Payne, Vision Realty, Inc.

Licensed in 2013, Denise is currently the Manager of the Executive Branch and Lead Administrator for Vision Realty Inc. Prior to real estate, Denise earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in special education and spent over three decades making a difference in the lives of many students both in Michigan and Columbus City Schools. Denise loves to create adventures from curiosities and loves laughing, watching documentaries, reading autobiographies and is a blood donor for the American Red Cross. An active member of the First Church of God, she coordinated an Honor Flight Columbus for veterans in 2019 and was the 2021 Program Leader for Sleeves Up In Memory Sickle Cell campaign, and the 2021 coordinator for her 120th Stewart Family Reunion.

Edward Sanchez, Nexthome Experience

Born in Lima, Peru, Edward moved to Columbus 20 years ago and obtained his real estate license in 2003. In his current position, he builds follow up and lead generation systems, trains new agents, and is also the marketing and event coordinator for his bilingual real estate team, IhomeMax. Edward has served as an Ohio REALTORS® director, is a member of 614 Church, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, founder of the Columbus Hispanic Professionals, and Prospanica which is dedicated to empowering the Hispanic community to achieve their full educational, economic, and social potential. Outside of real estate, Edward enjoys travel, dining out, exercise, dancing, arts and learning.

Tina Schreck, Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices, Calhoon Co.

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Tina is proud to call this her home and demonstrates that by being active in her community, volunteering for REALTOR® Care Day, serving on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee as well as the Hilliard Area Realty Association. Tina has earned the At Home with Diversity designation, $1 Million Dollar Club award, Five Star Real Estate Agent award, 2021 Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Leading Edge Society, and was named a 2021 Columbus REALTORS® Top Professional Under 40. Prior to getting into real estate, Tina earned a writing, performing, and directing films and plays. Her other interests include dancing, painting, cross-stitching, and cooking.

Nikki Wicks, Coldwell Banker Realty

Originally from Las Vegas, Nikki has called Ohio her home for the last four decades. Prior to getting her real estate license in 2013, she worked in the dental/medical field and later as a foreclosure specialist. Nikki is a member of the Foundation Fundraising Committee, multiple local Realty Associations (including holding officer positions) and has organized REALTOR® Care Day projects. She is a philanthropist and serves as an Election Official. Outside of real estate, Nikki enjoys entertaining, live music, and travel.

Julie Woodson, HER, REALTORS®

After growing up in Westerville, Ohio Julie spent 15 years in Arizona working for a large restaurant developer before becoming a residential appraiser. She moved back to Ohio in 2002 and started her own home staging business. Julie obtained her real estate license in 2016 and received the HER Commercial Rookie of the Year award in 2018. A member of Columbus Commercial Industrial Investment REALTORS® (CCIIR) and Columbus Real Estate Women (CREW), she volunteers for different community fundraising events including, Night Flight Golf Charity Fundraiser, The Columbus Dream Center and Bowling with Buckeyes. She also started the “IMMA BE” girls' group to help address bullying in her girl’s school. Julie enjoys traveling with her family, cooking and being outdoors.
