Award Criteria and Recipients
The Columbus REALTORS® “Michael L. Jones, Jr., Bridge-Builder Award” recognizes a REALTOR® or Affiliate member who has not only championed diversity, equity, and inclusion within our Association but also who have taken purposeful, and tangible action(s) that have produced positive outcome(s) in achieving/advancing the understanding of how diversity, equity, and inclusion positively impacts our culture at the Association and the practice of real estate.
Award Criteria
- Demonstrates dedication and continuing commitment to advocating for diversity, equity and inclusion in the Association and in their workplace.
- Fosters positive communication and actively promotes inter-group relations among persons of different races, ages, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, religious backgrounds, or physical and mental abilities.
- Participates in a variety of Association and community events that promotes mutual respect, acceptance, cooperation or tolerance: any level of involvement in community events, projects, efforts or organizations that promote or celebrate tolerance and contribute to diversity awareness in the Association, community and workplace.
- Exhibits the ability to value and respect diverse points of view and varied ways to approach issues and topics.
- Leads others by their actions while advocating for change.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
- Only individuals are eligible for this award. Individuals can be individual REALTOR® or Affiliate members of the Columbus REALTORS® Association.
- Honorees can only receive the award once.
- Recipient of the Michael L. Jones, Jr., Bridge-Builder Award will be honored at the Columbus REALTORS® annual Awards Gala.
