Commercial Committees
The Commercial Section is overseen by the Commercial Advisory Board comprised of seven commercial REALTORS® elected by the members of the Commercial Section. In order to qualify to serve, Columbus REALTORS® Commercial Committee candidates must have been a REALTOR® member of Columbus REALTORS® for at least three consecutive years.
The Chair of the Commercial Advisory Board holds a voting seat on the Columbus REALTORS® Board of Directors which is the governing body for the entire association. This does not preclude the ability for any other commercial member to run for election to the Board of Directors through the member-wide ballot.
Under the Advisory Board are five commercial focused committees to help direct services and membership opportunities for the section:
- Commercial Education Committee - Develops, plans and evaluates continuing education courses offered to Commercial members by Columbus REALTORS®.
- Commercial Member Services & Membership Committee - Reviews products and services to be provided to C/I members and encourages commercial REALTOR® participation in the Columbus REALTORS®.
- COCIE Governing Board - Oversees the Central Ohio Commercial Information Exchange (COCIE).
- Commercial Recognition Committee - The Commercial Recognition Committee develops recognition programs for Commercial members.
- Commercial Standard Forms Committee - Updates and develops the forms provided to C/I members.
