AMC Law Disclosure Update – Effective 12/14/2018
Please note that based on the recent passing of Ohio’s AMC law, two additional appraiser disclosure items go into effect on 12/14/2018.  Points 6 and 7 stated in Ohio Revised Code 4763.12 will now be required on every Certification/Appraiser Disclosure Statement that is included with every written appraisal report.  These two points are in addition to the already required points 1-5.

Brunch & Learn with Members of the Appraiser Committee - 1/28/20
Come join members of the Appraiser Committee on Jan. 28, 2020 from 10 - 11am to discuss how appraisers consider making adjustments to comparables in the appraisal process. One hour of CE will be granted and food & drink will be provided.

Appraisal Forum: We're in this Together - 10/8/20
The Residential Education and the Appraiser Committees are joining forces to bring you another Appraisal Forum, featuring a panel of appraisers to answer questions that were posed from a survey taken among the membership. The objective is to help field common questions and misunderstandings and to foster our relationships. Taking place on August 22, 2019 from 9-11am with a one-hour Q&A immediately following the seminar. (CE Only available for the two-hour seminar)

About the Appraiser Committee

The appraiser Committee provides relevant information and education to appraisers and other members through forums, panel discussions, and articles for both print and electronic communication. Appraisers serve on the MLS Committee to ensure data needed to perform appraisals is available to enable successful closings for real estate transactions. The committee shares information regarding legislation pertaining to appraisers and appraisals. The committee also promotes mentorship of new appraisers into the profession.
