Columbus REALTORS® held its annual Awards Celebration yesterday, where six central Ohio members were honored for their outstanding commitment to the real estate profession and to the central Ohio community. View pictures.
As only one award is made annually in each category, this esteemed honor is recognized as a sign of excellence throughout the real estate industry.
Milt Lustnauer, 2015 REALTOR® Broker of the Year
Lustnauer is a broker/owner with RE/MAX Premier Choice and has been in real estate and a member of Columbus REALTORS® for 36 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Ohio University and has earned the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), Certified Relocation Professional (CRP), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) and e-Pro designations.
He is the immediate past president of Columbus REALTORS®, a member of the Twenty-Five Million Dollar Sales Club, and a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. He currently serves on Columbus REALTORS® Board of the Directors and is a member of the Board of Consultants, the Foundation Board of Trustees and the Benevolence, Grievance and MLS Committees.
He has also served as a member of numerous other committees, including Affordable Housing, Awards Night, Builder/REALTOR® Alliance (BRAC), Commercial Advisory Board, Member Services and Membership, CORPAC Fundraising and CORPAC Governing Board, and is a recipient of Columbus REALTORS® Volunteer Service Award.
In the community, Lustnauer has been a supporter of Children’s Miracle Network for the past 29 years and a volunteer with Hill Top Clothes Closet, Hill Top Lutheran Church “Sunday Homeless Breakfast”, and the Upper Arlington Lutheran Church Lay Ministry.
He is also a math Tudor at West Broad Elementary School and an active member and past director of the Upper Arlington Rotary.
Jill Rudler, 2015 REALTOR® Salesperson of the Year
Rudler is a sales associate with Keller Williams Excel Realty and has been a member of Columbus REALTORS® for 28 years. She holds the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialists (CLHMS), the Graduate, REALTORS® Institute (GRI) and the Residential Relocation Specialists (RRS) designations.
She is a past chair of the Columbus REALTORS® CORPAC Governing Board and the Foundation Fund Scholarship Committee, and a current member of the Benevolence, Budget, Finance and Investment, CORPAC Fundraising, and the Governmental Affairs committees. She is a Columbus REALTORS® Twenty-Five Million Sales Award Club member, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, and a graduate of Leadership Academy Charter Member Class of 2012.
Rudler serves as a member of the Westerville Chamber of Commerce, the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, and the Woman’s Fund Central Ohio. She has also been a volunteer with both Keller Williams Giving Back to the Community Red Day and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure for multiple years, as well as a supporter of Habitat for Humanity, Canine Companions for Independence, and the Circle of Friends Leukemia Society.
She is a past president and current member of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR) Columbus Chapter, where she was selected 2014 Member of the Year and named Entrepreneur of the Year Columbus Chapter in 2009. She’s also a member of the Dublin, Gahanna, New Albany, Northeast/Westerville, and Southern Delaware County area realty associations.
Kristin Collins, 2015 Affiliate of the Year
Collins is a sales representative with Fischer Homes and has been in new home construction sales for 12 years and a member of Columbus REALTORS®.
She currently serves as co-chair of the Builder/REALTOR® Alliance Committee (BRAC), is a past co-chair of the Central Ohio REALTORS® Political Action Committee (CORPAC); a current member of the Foundation Fundraising Committee; and a REALTOR® Care Day participant since 2008.
Collins is an active and long-time member of the Greater Dublin Realty Association, the Hilliard Area Realty Association and the West/Southwest Area Realty Association.
In the community, Collins is a “Clause for Paws” volunteer and contributes to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, SPCA and the Franklin Animal Shelter. She also raises funds for area food pantries.
Bob Weiler, 2015 Citizen of the Year
Weiler has been a member of Columbus REALTORS® since 1957, and served as its president in 1976. He’s a certified general real estate appraiser with a MAI designation, a developer of numerous subdivisions and apartment/office/industrial complexes in central Ohio, and an Adjunct Professor of real estate law at Capital University Law School and at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
He cofounded "I KNOW I CAN", a renowned college access program assuring Columbus city school graduates a college education; delivers (with wife Missy) Meals on Wheels for LifeCare Alliance; is a Board member of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC); a member of the American Red Cross 100 Donors Club; and a past chairman of Capital University Board of Trustees, where he was inducted into the University Hall of Honor and received the distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award.
Weiler has served as president the Columbus Board of Education; is one of the longest serving (29 years) Center of Science and Industry (COSI) Board members; and is a member of the Board of Trustees and past chair of the Metropolitan YMCA.
He is also a mentor/teacher with Big Brothers-Big Sisters; a 50-year member of Pilot Dogs, Inc., and has served on the Board of Trustees of the Columbus/ Franklin County Affordable Housing Trust, Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing; Columbus Urban League; Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA); and the Columbus Bar Foundation.
Irene Sawyer, 2015 Rising Star of the Year
Sawyer is a sales associate with HER, Realtors® and has been a member of Columbus REALTORS® since June 2013.
In her short tenure in real estate, Sawyer has achieved the HER Realtors® Broker’s Award for sales achievement of over $3,000,000. She is currently serving her second year on the Columbus REALTORS® REALTOR® Care Day Committee.
She has obtained the Greater Columbus Tourism Ambassador and Military Relocation Professional (MRP) certifications, the Residential Relocation Specialist (RRS) designation, and is in school for the Home Staging Expert Certification.
In the community, Sawyer volunteers with the Stephanie Spielman Breast Cancer Center and serves on The James Patient/Family Advisory Council. She’s a member of the Clintonville Women’s Club, the Worthington Women’s Club and is the event planner, hostess and sole supporter of Potters Creek Annual Children’s Halloween Party.
Lorri Molnar, 2014 Joseph L. MacKinnon Instructor of the Year
Molnar is a sales associate with RE/MAX Affiliates and has been a member of Columbus REALTORS® for 27 years, and a REALTOR® for 38 years. She holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Dayton and the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), the Certified Residential Brokerage Manager (CRB), the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI), and the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designations from the Ohio and National associations of REALTORS®.
She has chaired and is currently a member of the Columbus REALTORS® Leadership Academy Advisory Board and the Residential Education Committee, and is in her first year of a three-year term on the Professional Standards Committee. She is also a Columbus REALTORS® Ten Million Dollar Sales Award Club member.
In the past, she has served on Columbus REALTORS® Board of Directors, chaired its Grievance Committee. She was selected Instructor of the Year in 2007, and honored again this year for developing an interactive ethics course entitled, “Ethics: What Would YOU Do?
Molnar was an instructor at Columbus State Community College, a recipient of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award, and a longtime member of Twigs for Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and an Eucharistic Minister for St. Brigid of Kildare Church.
