CBR is partnering with Homeport  (formerly CHP) to improve five homes in the subdivision - all on Sampson Avenue. We will be painting, landscaping, fixing gutters, and recarpeting porches for residents in need. Shifts: Morning  (9am-noon); Afternoon  (1pm-4pm); All Day (9am-4pm)

Updating the courtyard at the Arbors of London – a skilled nursing, extended care and rehabilitation facility as well as an Alzheimer’s unit  which will include cleanup, landscaping, building benches for the patients to sit on, repairing existing furniture, installing bird baths and bird houses. Painting the interior home of the local shelter for battered woman & children "Haven House" (map). The home has 3 floor levels and our main goal is to completely paint the interior of one level. The rooms on the one level will include 5 bedrooms, 1 hallway, 2 stair wells, & kitchen. While delivering mail on 1/14/12, postal carrier Doug Poole was hit by a car and critically injured. After 12 surgeries, it is still uncertain if he will be able to keep his right leg or walk again. Doug is married with three children in Olentangy Orange High School. With Doug hurt and Traci, his wife, taking a lot of time off work to be with him, they’ve been unable to prepare their home for a graduation celebration. SDCRA is going to help them by power washing the deck and siding, painting the deck, removing an old wooden swing set and weeding/edging/mulching the flower beds.
