Is it really almost the end of the year? It is amazing when things are going well how quickly time can fly!
A very rewarding year as president of both, the Columbus Board of REALTORS® and now the Columbus Association of REALTORS®, DBA, Columbus REALTORS®.
We have had many things happen this year and I am very proud to have been a part of it all.
We accomplished one of the best years ever in CORPAC fundraising with over $133,000 donated; had a very successful REALTOR® Care day; and we changed our name and re-branded our Association to be, approachable, responsive and progressive.
We held a successful strategic planning session to guide us into the future; investigated, reviewed, interviewed and selected a new MLS vendor, and we had many successful YPN events, as well as many other successful events sponsored by several of our other committees.
Local candidates were interviewed; scholarships awarded; one Leadership Academy class graduated and another begun; and we hosted another successful Foundation luncheon.
Many new people got involved in our Association and, this year, we experienced one of the best statistical years ever as an Association in the way of sales success. I am very lucky to have been able to take the helm while the market was good and getting better.
I want to thank Gary Parsons – the president who nominated me in the first place. Without him, I would not have had the opportunity to serve you all.
I would also like to thank all of the Directors, committee chairs/vice chairs and, of course, all committee participants and those who participated in our events. None of this was possible without all of you.
Most of all, I would like to thank the people who really do all the heavy lifting at Columbus REALTORS®, and that is the staff – without them there is no Association. They bring all of the ideas together to make them work!
I have been blessed by great people who’ve surrounded me this year and a great real estate market in the central Ohio area.
Thanks, again, to all of you and here’s to the future for all of us. Cheers!
