Time to update your listing's tax data

Property taxes can change annually base on voter approved school/bond levies, auditor reassessments and/or owner appeals of property valuation. While Realist can auto-pop the taxes when you enter a listing,  it cannot automatically update them when those figures change. Please check your current listings' tax data. 


Professional Standards Changes from NAR

The NAR Board of Directors, at their annual convention in November, approved several changes to the professional standards process that brokers and managers will want to make note of should you become involved in a local ethics complaint or request for arbitration.


4Q-2015 Lender-Mediated Properties Report

During the fourth quarter of 2015, the share of distressed inventory was again roughly one in ten for central Ohio, according to the 4Q-2015 Lender-Mediated Properties report from Columbus REALTORS®.


Primary Photo Now Required Within 5 Days

The MLS committee has changed the MLS photo policy to require a primary photo on all listings within 5 business days. With the proliferation of digital cameras and cell phone photography, the previous requirement of 15 days was deemed too long. Only a primary image is required by policy. The auditor photo (public domain) can be used if no other image is available.

In 2015, residential real estate experienced its best year since the Great Recession which ended in 2009. Although inventory could still use a jolt, demand was healthy throughout the year and there was enough supply to keep the engine strong.

Microsoft has officially cut the support for their Internet Explorer 10 software. This follows the existing end of support in previous years for Internet Explorer versions 8 and 9.
