Civil Rights and Fair Housing for ALL Real Estate Transactions

Sally Steining has been in the real estate and title insurance fields for over 30 years, having worked in both the residential and commercial segments, and in 205 was named the Eastern Region Director of Continuing Education for First American Title.
This class is tailored to commercial real estate agents, as time will be spent covering landlords' and property managers' responsibilities, but any agent needing Civil Rights training is welcome.
There will be an overview of Civil Rights and Fair Housing Laws and how they relate to real estate transactions. Advertising, Disparate Impact, Protected Classes, Rental Criteria, Familial Status, Sexual Harassment, Disability (including service and emotional support animals), Reasonable Accommodations and Modifications are some of the topics to be covered. In addition, real life situations and lawsuits will show the impact of not following the law.
