Central Ohio Housing Report - July 2015

Sales, prices and time to sell a home set records again during July 2015. The 3,208 home sales last month were up 1.9 percent over the previous month (June 2015) and up 11.7 percent from July of 2014. This also set a record high for any single month of home sales in any year.

Central Ohio Housing Report - May 2015

‚ÄčThere were 2,926 central Ohio homes and condos sold during the month of May, a 17.8 percent increase over April and an 8.4 percent gain over May 2014. This puts the total number of homes sold for 2015 at 10,531, which is highest number of homes sold on record for the first five months of the year, according to the Columbus REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service.

There were 3,035 central Ohio homes and condos listed for sale in September 2014, which is a 6.8 percent jump from September 2013. The additional inventory brought the total number of homes and condos for sale to 9,408, which just trails August 2014 by 2.6 percent, according to Columbus REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (MLS).

There were 2,856 central Ohio homes and condos sold in June 2014, an 11.2 percent increase over the previous month, although down 3.3 percent from June 2013. With an inventory level of 9,247, the number of homes on the market is 5.5 percent higher than May 2014, according to the Columbus REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (MLS).

There were 3,935 central Ohio homes and condos listed for sale in May 2014, 7.1 percent lower than the previous year, but up 6.2 percent from April. With an inventory level of 8,766, the number of homes on the market is 12.9 percent lower than May 2013 according to the Columbus REALTORS® Multiple Listing System (MLS).

The 27,033 closed sales in 2013 were 17.1 percent more than 2012 and the second-highest sales year on record central Ohio. Sale prices were up 4.2 percent over 2012. But inventory was the lowest December since 2000.
