Improving your business through technology

The Business Technology Forum got off to a hot start in January. We sold out the big classroom at the Association for our first program, which was entitled “Facebook Engagement for Real Estate Agents,” and presented by Vice Chair Chris Sauerzopf.

Chris did a great job of teaching the basics of Facebook — how to engage your sphere, proper uses of Facebook, how to create a business page, and how to produce ads through Facebook. Because of the popularity of the class, we are going to host a follow up session later in the year which builds on the information from January.

When we sat down to set the programs for 2017, we spent a significant amount of time scheduling technology topics that would be most relevant for the agents in our industry.  Judging by the sellout at our first session, it seems we are on track.

Chris Sauerzopf with World Class Title is our vice-chair and a great resource for technology and social media. We feel this is one of the most important committees due to the impact of technology and how big of a role it plays. We are extremely excited for this year and some of the topics we have planned. Facebook was our first and probably most important topic. Future sessions include: other social media platforms (Instagram and Snapchat), smart home technology, virtual reality, drones, and much more. If you haven’t heard of these topics, you need this committee. Instagram and Snapchat are the two fastest growing social media platforms and smart home technology is something today’s buyers crave (especially those Millennial Buyers).

Drones are already playing a big role in the marketing of many properties and virtual reality could be a future game-changer with its possibilities. Could you imagine having your Buyers virtually walk through twenty properties and select four of them to go through in person? How could that change your approach with Buyers? The technology is here, it just hasn’t been implemented at a mass scale yet. There’s more technology shifts coming. We’re here to try to expose you to some of these technologies and their possibilities.

Please stay tuned for these future sessions. Each session will help you make more money, become more efficient, and/or significantly improve your business this year and in the future.  Technology isn’t going anywhere — it’s only becoming more and more involved in our day-to-day lives.

Do you have an interest in technology? Are you willing to learn about it? We are also actively looking for new members, and we would love to have you. If you or someone you know is a good fit, I want to talk. Reach out or attend one of our sessions. Find out how technology can improve your business. We’re here to help. We look forward to seeing you!
