March home sales jumped 36 percent to 1,653 compared to the previous month, closing the first quarter with home sales up 7.1 percent from first quarter 2011.

Central Ohio home sales in February were up for the second consecutive month. The average sale price of 151,072 was 7.3 percent higher than February of 2011.
