On June 29, the House passed a standalone bill that would extend for three months the June 30 deadline for closing on a home in order to claim the federal homebuyer tax credit.
 
Families facing foreclosure affected by job loss - 06.03.10
Some 58 percent of homeowners who received foreclosure counseling through the National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling (NFMC) Program reported the primary reason they were facing foreclosure was reduced or lost income, according to NeighborWorks America.

April saw 40 percent increase in home sales in central Ohio - 05.21.10
The 2,093 homes sold in April represented a 22.8 percent increase over the previous month and a 39.1 percent increase over April of 2009. Home sales for the first four months of the year were up 20.6 percent over sales in January through April of 2009.

March home sales up 54 percent in central Ohio - 04.22.10
There were 1,704 central Ohio homes sold during March of 2010, a 54.1 percent increase over the previous month and 25.3 percent higher than March of 2009. First quarter saw 3,873 homes sell in central Ohio which is 12.5 percent more than home sales during January through March of 2009.
