Families facing foreclosure affected by job loss

Some 58 percent of homeowners who received foreclosure counseling through the National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling (NFMC) Program reported the primary reason they were facing foreclosure was reduced or lost income, according to NeighborWorks America.
April saw 40 percent increase in home sales in central Ohio

The 2,093 homes sold in April represented a 22.8 percent increase over the previous month and a 39.1 percent increase over April of 2009. Home sales for the first four months of the year were up 20.6 percent over sales in January through April of 2009.

The Columbus Board of REALTORS® announced today that it supports State Issue 2, a proposal to relocate the Columbus-based casino on property that borders on the west side of Columbus. The issue will appear on the May 4 primary election ballot.
March home sales up 54 percent in central Ohio

There were 1,704 central Ohio homes sold during March of 2010, a 54.1 percent increase over the previous month and 25.3 percent higher than March of 2009. First quarter saw 3,873 homes sell in central Ohio which is 12.5 percent more than home sales during January through March of 2009.
Delaware County ranked healthiest in Ohio

In a ranking by the the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, Delaware County was chosen as the healthiest in Ohio based on health factors such as diet and exercise, education, safety and access to medical care.
